Distance changes everything
A small light close to a face or product can be more useful than a stronger light placed far away. Think about where the light can physically sit and whether the mount holds that position securely.
Soft light needs size
Tiny LEDs can create hard shadows and bright reflections. A diffuser helps, but making a light source larger relative to the subject is what creates softer transitions. Product shots may also need flags or reflected light.
Color consistency matters
Adjustable color temperature is convenient when you move between daylight and warm interior lighting. Accurate, repeatable color is more valuable than novelty effects when skin tones or product colors must look believable.
Power the real session
Check whether full brightness cuts battery life sharply, whether the light works while charging and whether controls are usable without an app. A light that survives the entire workflow beats a brighter one that interrupts it.
