Start with the problem
A strong product should solve a problem you can name in one sentence. If the demonstration is impressive but you cannot explain when you would use the item, the entertainment may be doing more work than the product.
Look past the perfect demo
Fast cuts can hide setup time, awkward cleaning, special conditions or repeated attempts. Ask what happens before and after the satisfying moment. The boring parts often decide whether a product becomes a daily tool or drawer clutter.
Check the trade-off
Smaller may mean less power. Wireless may mean charging and pairing. Multi-purpose may mean average at every purpose. A useful review should identify the cost of the convenience, not only the convenience.
